My Mapinfo window's taskbar icon or TAB file icon are not displaying correctly

Occurrence

When I start Mapinfo/Discover - the taskbar icon is not correct or TAB file icon's are not correct.

Solution

This is caused by a corrupted icon cache in Window.

1. Navigate to C:\Users\USERNAME\AppData\Local

2. Select Organize>Folder and Search Options, and on the View tab, enable show hidden files and folders.

3. Select the Iconcache.db and delete this.

4. Restart Windows and your icons will automatically be rebuilt and repaired.
